Colleen Doran, of A Distant Soil fame, and I are still in process of bringing her new person site online, which will be hosted by the NewMoon ∞ OldSoul Network, and designed by me.
You can see her current personal site here.
I now live in Maine, and I must say I love it here. It’s the most natural and peaceful place I’ve lived yet, and quite a bastion of nature and local culture. I’d recommend moving here, but stay away, I closed the doors after I moved in
I’m available for freelance design anywhere, but can hold personal meetings in Maine and NYC.
I’ve just gotten the Motorola Droid so I’m going to be playing around with apps for that soon, and also apps for Facebook.
Spades, my comic book, should also be getting rolling again soon. Please check back.
Girlamatic had a great November with lots of new comics and podcasts. December holds a special treat for old and new readers alike! Svetlana Chamakova makes her big return!
If you could do me a huge favor and swing by the WCRCA09 page, sign up for an account (takes a second!) and nominate (on this page: http://webcomicplanet.com/events/webcomic-readers-choice-awards/wcrca-2009-nominations/

And also, if you don’t mind nominating:

Thanks everyone! This means so much to us at GAM especially after the huge relaunch. We really are proud of what we’re building!
MOFGA was a huge success, and I found that my feather hair clips were quite in demand! I sold five pieces at the show just by wearing one I made for myself.
My Etsy show got the rest of the load from the fair. I’m now at Garden Variety, I have four pieces there! And I’ll soon be in a small retail shop in SC
They’re so fun to make and I hope to make much more elaborate headdresses for Brides, costumes, and parties!
A feather hair clip in my hair
I’m moving to a small little town called Unity, Maine in October.
It doesn’t feel so small right now though! MOFGA is in full swing!
The crisp air, the natural beautiful, and the sparse human population have all inspired me and my natural art bug finally bit my brain.
I really want to get back to drawing seriously, as well as learning new skills, and maybe go back to art school for Metalworking in Portland.
Meanwhile, I’ve begun to design and create feather headdresses and hair pins/clips and selling them on Etsy.
I’ll have many more posted after this weekend when I’m attending MOFGA to check it out for the first time!

Just wanted to announce that NewMoon∞ OldSoul Designs is now hosting both colleendoran.com and adistantsoil.com!
Colleen Doran, the amazing author and artist of the Comic Book Graphic novel A Distant Soil, has joined the list of clients I design for and host. Her personal portfolio site is under going a redesign here at NewMoon ∞ OldSoul, and I’ll be sure to make a post about its relaunch when it’s good to go.
I’m very excited to be working with Ms. Doran, and happy to provide more excellent design and service for fellow creative.
If you’re interested in starting a small business or personal site, need one-to-one service and all-in-one web-stuff management. We proudly offer custom priced/sized hosting, personal creative assistance and web design, and instruction on how to launch you into your own independent website. Contact me anytime for a quote, question, commission, or project plan assistance.

So, I’m moving to Unity, Maine
In my short life this’ll be my 7th state, and my 9th city lived in! Go me.
I’ve already started a small freelancing web design business up there with my boyfriend, Josh, who is hard at work for ComicSpace relaunch.
I’ve been asked to show in a small community art gallery in Unity already, and I’m scheduling a show for 2010! I’m not sure what it’ll be, but I hope to be making much art farther north.
I’ll be launching two smaller scale professional websites very soon. My brother-in-law’s guitar-making business is booming, and a great treasure shop in Thorndike, Maine has asked me to host their site. I love working one on one with people on their personal projects. I love helping people achieve their dreams and increase their business.
I’m off to dinner in Brooklyn now! Gonna make this.
Have a great nite and stay tuned for the launches ![]()
